I'll second that, Terry.

I'm a whole lot bigger and a whole lot younger than Rory but even I have enough sense to avoid insulting him or his elephant gaiters.

Those elephant hide gaiters were very cool but it looked like the almost daily exposure to water had made them awfully stiff.

I wore a pair of the Boyts in Zim a couple years ago and they seemed like too much hassle (my Neanderthal feet are too big to get them on and off). I wore boots that were higher this last time and that was better for me. If I try gaiters again they'll have a zipper.

What a deal. I used those in Namibia this summer and found thley really did the trick. Those sharp grass seeds were a real pain and the gaiters took care of em. Bob
