jshoneyClearing trophies through Austin or San Antonio Tx?
Has anyone done this? Im looking into clearing my own trophies and both Austin and San Antonio are close. Everything I can find here only talks about Dallas and Houston.

David WIn addition to Customs, your trophies will have to pass US Fish and Wildlife inspection. I don't believe Austin or San Antonio is set up for that.

KenscoMy Zimbabwe trophies cleared through Houston on their way to Abilene. I suspect Houston will be your first stop.

MacD3780% of the international flights into Texas come through D/FW, as the first customs stop, and if so, that is where they will clear! However in Texas D/FW, and IAH are the only customs USFW clearing stations!

ShowbartMac, 80% of ALL international flights arriving for their 1st/only stop in Texas go to DFW? Really?

PostDriverI believe it depends on how your trophies are routed. I cleared some trophies in Dallas this spring, but had to do some fancy stepping to get them to Dallas for the clearance. The shipment first landed in Atlanta, and normally the USDA and USFWS would have been handled there. I called and talked them into allowing the clearance to happen in Dallas; other than that, no problems.
Apparently, the port of entry into the US is where they normally want the clearance to take place. You might want to check with your freight company to see where POE is.
