Friday from the Field: Lacey Act and the Unwitting Poacher Hunters have a responsibility to be aware of the laws and regulations, both US and International, that affect hunting. The Lacey Act is the main law under which USFW reviews all international hunts. The most common violation is an unintentional one that happens while abroad: Not filling out International Hunting Permits/Licenses correctly, or putting animals that a hunter did not harvest under their name. Regardless of what you may be told while abroad, it is your responsibility to make sure that you and your fellow hunters have individual permits/licenses that list only your animals. Below are links to the Lacey Act and an article Safari Specialty Importers wrote on this subject. We ensure our clients are covered on this by reviewing all export documents before shipments arrive in the US. Your precious memories will always be safe with us! https://www.fws.gov/.../us-con....../lacey-act.html... Unwitting Poacher Article https://safarispecialtyimporters.com/news | ||
