Do you still have to join SCI plus pay the outrageous entry fees to get in? Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP

What great news!!!! Can drive to Nashville in less than 2 hours. Looks like wife and I will be attending next year. My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I don't believe that ticket prices or entry information has been posted yet. As soon as I find out, I will do a follow up post with the details.

We look forward to seeing you there! I think the move to Nashville will open up many new hunters the true affordability of an international hunt if it is your dream to do so.

The Shill he took and he kissed the book, is a saying of becoming a cooperate man or joining a group. You have to be a member and then buy pass(es) to the Show. You can buy passes for 1-4 days. I took the shill and kissed the book. I paid them to join and became a member to get to go. The context clues found in the song Cruel Wars explains the expression. Johnny takes the schill and kisses the book when he joins the Army. Call SCI, join the club, and buy a pass(es). You have to buy a pass for everyone you take with you. So, I bought two passes. 1 for me as a member. They let me buy one for my wife who is not a member. Johnny takes the schill and kisses the book when he joins the Army. Another way of saying is I bent the knee or bit the bullet to SCI to get to buy the passes to go to the show.

Got it. In the past, apparently still today, you had to join SCI, then buy day passes for yourself and your spouse. Total cost to attend for 2 people for 4 days ran about $600-700 .Contrast that with DSC, which charges $25/day/person and no membership fee. It’s great that SCI has come east though. I did a 3 yr membership 150 bucks and two, 1 day passes 400 bucks, but I am meeting my Austrian PH to book stag. I have been begging a show to come East. SCI did. About the same as buying plane tickets to get to Dallas.

I rarely miss the SCI show but I don't have plans to ford the airports turmoil and cancellations gauntlet to cross the country to attend!! We may drive over to Dallas from Arizona if the mood moves us?? I think the lowest annual membership-National, not including a Chapter membership is about $50. With that membership you can buy yourself passes from 1-4 days, 4 days last year was about $300 if you purchased before December 10th... then it goes to full boat at $125/day. You can buy spouse and children tickets as well with your membership. It will all be on the SCI website soon under the CONVENTION tab... 470EDDY

Yup, everything is going up!!...$90 for all other countries to cover postage on the magazine. Here is a link to the Convention registration- https://www.compusystems.com/servlet/sar?evt_uid=110 I didn't see the spouse registration info, youth are FREE!! The early purchase price goes to end of the year due to the later convention date. 470EDDY

Holy smoke!Smoke!! The kicker to convention registration is Hotel rates!! Most of the primary hotels at the Music City Center are near or over $300/night... and 4 Sold out already!! Looks like it is going to be well attended!! All a 3 to 4 minute walk to the Show. 8 lesser Suites and Motels have been added. Here is the link- https://showsci.org/hotels/ 470EDDY

There is no reason not to come East. There are hunting dollars outside of Texas. I would never go to Reno. I would have went to Vegas because my Wife likes Vegas. I hate Vegas. The NRA show has been East many times and sold out like the Beatles. I glad there decision to come East appears to have paid off in sold out hotels already. If one wants to be a Life Member. I was told convention attendance was free. One place where DSC and SCI fails is getting the East of the Mississippi hunter. This is also where the divide between Hunting Conservation (sport hunting) and the whitetail meat hunter is strongest in East. Look at West Virginia, Wisconsin, East KY, East TN, and Pennsylvania for the deer, meat hunter vs “trophy hunter” in fight. That is my non-empirical observation as some one who travels to hunt in the region. I welcome real polling on the issue funded by any organization for empirical data.

There are alot of non-stop flights into Las Vegas from most places in US and Canada, and convenient connections from all over the World!!...not so for most other locations, especially Nashville?? Dallas has good Non-Stops, and connections too!! There used to be a promotion for new life members to receive 4 convention tickets, NO MORE...at least where I was looking on the SCI website. Now 10 free Record Book entries, 3 on the 3 year membership plan!! I am amused at the Senior Life plan, from age 60, a $250 discount from the $1500 US or $2,000 other country fee!!... a 23/22 year payback assuming no increases NO FREE LUNCH....and Moose hunt prices are exceeding $10,000 too.... 470EDDY

We typically go to SCI in Vegas because it's a 5hr drive, wife and I like Vegas, rooms are quite inexpensive if we attend during the week. We've taken all of the kids in the past & they love it. We would like to check out Nashville, so maybe this will be a good excuse... But if rooms are a lot more expensive, and now I also have to buy 2-5 plane tickets... Maybe we'll check out DSC instead. Very surprised that SCI moved it out of Vegas for a 5 year stretch.

Let make a few comments : 1- they moved out of Vegas because of the cost. The difference between Vegas and Reno is astronomical. Also the percentage of the US population within a 6 hour drive of Nashville is very very high. 2- Keep in mind that the convention if a fundraiser. Money that is needed to protect hunting . 3- I share the concerns about the flight and hotel costs . Our flight costs are insane. 4- the bookings to date are very high. Expect a lot of people. No matter where it is, some will be happy. Some will be unhappy . Personally, I’d rather go to Vegas but am perfectly willing to go to Nashville.

We would happily go to Nashville for the convention, and I'm sure we would prefer it to Vegas. I wish we could go. We will be hunting in Cameroon, however, and so will have to miss it. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
