Was taking some pictures of Buffalo on my last safari. Have a look at the drops on this buffalo. Classic.

That is a great buffalo! That picture almost makes me smell the smells of Zambia. It wouldn't take much looking to decide if that is the buffalo I'd want to shoot!

Gorgeous old bull... if gorgeous is a proper adjective for a buffalo.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

In my mind this is a classic buffalo horn configuration. Everyone has a vision of what their perfect buffalo looks like and this configuration always flips my switch to the "on" position!

Fantastic, old buffalo. What do you estimate his spread at? I'm guessing 42" or so.

The bull next to him is really nice too!

I'd guess the one on the left is 41" or so and mr. big drop is 44". The one on the left looks a little soft on top to me but I would certainly not blame you for shooing him...

I have always had a personal preference to bulls with a good drop rather than the strait wide ones and with that bulls drops being lower than his bosses well... an old mature hard toped Trophy he is!!!

WOW!!!

I though he was 42 and the other buff is still soft but he will be wide when he matures.
