Only about a month until the DSC Convention and I thought it was about time for an update:
Some have expressed concerns about the lack of dining options around the OMNI hotel, this year there are five new restaurants right outside the convention center/OMNI including a "beer garden", Oriental food, Mexican food and plain old American food.
The layout of the show has changed a bit due to several factors regarding new laws and alcohol sales in proximity of firearms, all firearms will be located in one area in Hall F, which is to the right of the main entrance and up the short ramp, this will include the custom gunmakers as well. The plus side to this move is that you will now be able to walk around the show (except in the "firearms area")and enjoy your favorite adult beverage.
For exhibitors, there will again be a lounge provided in the hotel for your use, pretty much the same as last year except in a larger room.
Once again, we will provide the "AR room" for you to gather, talk and rest your weary feet if you choose. Not sure of the amenities but will post when I can.
There are about 900 exhibitors and almost 1400 booths of mostly good stuff covering almost 900,000 square feet.
The nightly banquets are mostly sold out and we have nearly $6,000,000 worth of donated items for our auctions and you can bid on these items online even if you do not attend, just go to our website and look under "convention" to register.
Finally, if you have questions PM me or if you come to the show and have any sort of trouble (except jail...can't help you there), ask any DSC volunteer or staffer for me and I'll do my best to help you out.

Hope to see many of you next month.

This will be my 28th year of attending, only missed one show because ice covered every highway and I don't know how to skate. Can't remember the year, someone with better memory than mine might remember that hellish winter storm.

Maybe it was mid 2000s when it was still at Market Hall.
