Wow what a difficult book to find (like some others). Found a limited edition signed copy and even after I managed to talk it down $100 was still the most expensive book for me to date. I can't wait to read it. Hope it warrants it's scarcity and price as a educational and good read

If you don't mind reading the electronic version its only 17 and change at amazon for the e-book

If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness."

I like the real thing and to find an limited run signed by the man himself makes it all the better. Goes with my "mahohoboh" and "chui" I found all similar deals and a Hallet "congo kitabu". Haven't got into the e-book thing yet I'm afraid it sure would be cheaper

If you found it for $100, consider yourself very lucky-consider buying a lottery ticket. Enjoy it with a glass of good bourbon, Irish, or single malt.

Thanks Canuck32! I have the printed version, but I've become pretty protective of it. Now I have the e-version!

Already I was beginning to fall into the African way of thinking: That if
you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on
the animal's terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the
day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely
killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed
because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always
recapture the day - Robert Ruark

Spend a farthing or two and obtain Footsteps of an Ivory Hunter just published while they are still cheap. Available from Safari Press and Rowland Ward. They too shall be gone. Another great read.

I'd use that $100 and follow GOB's advice. Haven't read it yet but it's in the queue.
