This last one's a joke, albeit a bit of a sick one! PH Labat's sense of humor can be a bit sick at times! This is Thierry horsing around with Jimmy the rhino. I reckon he is lucky Jimmy was drowsy! Incidentally, Jimmy is thriving.

David, nice trophy pictures.

Thanks for the Jimmy update, always look forward to reading about how the little guy is doing. I want to see Thierry try that again in about 4-5 years. jumping

Yes, the first bushbuck and the kudu are excellent trophies - as good as it gets really. The bushbuck was 17.5 and the kudu 57. I think what I was most pumped about, however, was the grysbok. Very few of these reclusive little guys are ever taken here, but PH Labat seems to flush them out time and again. In the past five years, no other PH working for RWS has taken more than 1 grysbok, but clients hunting with Thierry have accounted for 5! Thierry's clients also tend to procure quality bushbuck, and he guided one guy onto a specimen that exceeded 18 inches last year. That trophy ranks very high!

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Yes, you are correct, Thierry is the man for these two animals, and more besides. Here in Zim he's fast gaining a reputation as a proficient all-rounder. During our off season, Thierry hunts Lord Derby eland in CAR and he's achieving great results there as well.

Thank you all for compliments regarding these trophies, I shall show your remarks to Thierry when I see him.
