I see a lot of Aardwolves on hunting brochures, but I had heard that it was illegal to bring a dead one back to the states, any word on that?

Specially protected in most African states and I think they are CITES I. Certainly illegal to hunt one in Zim, or Bots.

Looks like they can be hunted in Namibia. Check out this link from a fellow AR poster Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

We had one about 2 yards from our feets before he ran off, when hunting South Africa in September this year. That was the first I have seen. They were very quick to shout DONT SHOOT when I raised the gun as an instinct, my first thought was a Jackal.

You can shoot Aarwolves on special lisc. They are however very tough to get into the US unless you are shooting it for a museum Aleko Hits count, misses don't

Christer, It's the same with Bat Eared Foxes in Namibia. The bastards will kill anything else that walks, but bat eared foxes aren't touched.

Aardwolves are list as Appendix III, cites, so that means the country of orgin issues the cites. I know in South Africa, they do have a quota on them, Namiba, not sure. Zimbabwe, Can not shoot them, period! "America's Meat - - - SPAM" As always, Good Hunting!!! Widowmaker416
