yukon deltaFor USA clients, CITES permits are a problem in RSA. There are only so many to go around and there are now weapons restrictions to consider...no archery for example.
I don't know how this would apply to your situation but RSA is a very expensive place to go for buff (since they are working towards certified buff herds) and sable and there are only so many leopard permits available. What about Zim or Moz? Either one would be cheaper than RSA and more interesting to me at least.

Russ GouldI can fix you up with a hunt in RSA for these species but for 2009...buff sold out for 2008.
You will get much better value for money for these species in Zim. Trophy fees are less than half price vs. RSA. Email me if you want details, or visit our website.

MARK H. YOUNGDonner,
As suggested I think your clients would get better value for their dollar and a far better total safari expereince about anywhere except RSA for the species they are interested in.
The hunts in RSA would be behind fences, the leopards in RSA can be very difficult and the buffalo and sable are stocked and very expensive.
If they could put their hunt off until '09 they could have a real safari in a very wild place for all the animals they are interested in and save a lot of money.
Contact me if I can provide any further info.

bwanajcjI agree with Mark, there are much better destinations for all three and the cost of buff and sable are ridiculous in RSA, along with the overall experience of the hunt. I would not turn down a leopard in RSA but they are tough to hunt due to pressure on them.

L. David Keithdonner, I assume your clients are from Norway(?) if so, CITES regs may differ from the US. You do state you want a hunt in RSA, so there should be no problem to organize this affair. You are welcome to contact me to arrange this.
Good hunting,
David
