Wolfgar,

As has been mentioned I don't thnk your PH is going to be very happy with you blowing a predator call while in the blind. A good cat man puts a lot of thought into setting up baits and blinds just right for you and won't want anything to be a distraction. Besides the natural silence or lack of is all part of the experience.

On the other hand it seems to me although I can't check it because I sold his books that Boddington shot a leopard in Botswana that responded to a predator call.

Personally I think as stealthy as a leopard is that if the leopard responded he might show up in your back pocket. Talk it over with your PH. He may think the call has some application we haven't thought of.

Leopard hunting is very special. It is not action packed but can really be a heart pounder when that big tom just appears on the bait.

Regards,

Mark

Gerald Stewart has published some African predator calling stories. Sounds like fun.

Thank you, your reply's give one something to think about! A 180lb cat jumping in your blind might get a bit hairy!!
I will have 16 days in the area boardering Etosha, so I think that I will have a good chance at a shot. I was thinking that by day 15 with no cat anything might be worth trying. I have called in bobcat before, and I'm sure it would work on any feline. We'll see.
