Dear all,

Just to let you know that the hunting season in CAR, despite the trouble was great, especially for the forest game as bongo, giant forest hog, duikers, Buffalo and big leopard.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Outstanding animals, I wonder why I didn't see such beauties with Herve Houdebine?

Thanks to all of you,

Well Bangui was not very quiet but it was pretty cool in the bush. I spend quite a lots of time hunting forest species and I saw a lot, really a lot; bongos and giant forest hogs, some were very big... with probably the biggest bongo I have seen that I estimated about 37/39''...
I don't know how to post pictures but you can see some on the web site.

Heading now to Tanzania early july... hope to see some éléphants??

Cheers
Christophe
