Wendell ReichReno is the largest, by far. Dallas is the second largest show, of this quality, in the US. Houston does not even compare to the other two.

AtkinsonReno has gotten to big for me, it has lost its ombiance, it is so damn commercial but thats not to say its not an extravaganza like everything else in Reno and everybody should see it at least one time. However I think Pierre is gong drag my kicking, screaming self there next year.
I really like Dallas, many AR folks are there and we all have a good time, we have a big party and its become sorta traditional. Folks set around our table and talk Africa, hunting in general, and deads of dareing with animals and wimmen from days past and present, depending upon their age, I only listen with fond memories,and quickly forget them like everything else at my age thank goodness.
My only complaint is nobody wants to talk team roping and that's the pits, damn hunt'en sissys!

jdollarevery should attend the SCI show at least once in their lives just because of the sheer magnitude of it. no matter where in the world you want to go hunting, there will be somebody there selling a trip. it is like being a kid in a candy store( unfortunately on a limited budget). it is also a good chance to talk to various outdoor manufacturers and in some cases buy direct from them.i really enjoy getting together with PH's i have hunted with in the past and having a few sundowners, too
