I've often thought what an adventure it would be to hunt with Shakari.

Last night I watched Ice Age 3 with my kids and there's a character there that must be cast in Shakari's image!

Meet Shakari "Buck" Robinson.....

hahahahahahahahahaha I have hunted with him what would you like to know. it took a wk for my ribs to stop hurting we laughed so much.
He has two very different personalities the one when your in camp and the one where there are animals in front of you rotflmo I would whole heartedly recommend him as a Ph and also as some one to drink a beer with. He is defiantly one of a kind Thank GOD there's only one of him animal

I don't know if I can make it to Africa for a Safari. There are obviously many good PHs here. But,if I can pick only one PH, that will be Shakari, not just for his understanding of the wildlife, also for his knowledge and willingness to share it and his sense of humour which will surely make it a very educational experience.

RobinOlocks,
you should have been in Uganda with use dammmm it was fun. He is a total professional when it comes to his work and a freaking great guy to be in camp with a prankster, joker, and a since of humor thats second to none. and yes his knowledge of africa and all things african is great even as much as I have been there before I learned a lot from him.

Hehehe...

The little bugger uses his personal nemesis'(a massive carniverous dinosaur) tooth as his bush knife-see in the picture. That should outweigh a couple of modern day cat claws..... Big Grin

I was browsing posts from years ago and ran across one on famous safari quotes. There was one about after a big gunfight with a buffalo, Shakari ran up and in disbelief said "Your bloody bulls got tits"
OMG, I thought I was gonna roll out of my chair laughing. I thought right there that I'd just like to meet him.

Usually if someone spends two weeks with someone, in one day, it is hell! (i. e. One day felt like it was two weeks) Glad that you PARTIALLY clarified it for us! Big Grin

The main reason I'm not allowed to retire is my Mrs insists I go on safari from time to time just to restore her sanity! Wink

She tells me the other reason is that my going into retirement from the field isn't a good enough ending for her book..... how's that for bloody charming! Roll Eyes Wink
