I was just over on the offered hunts forum, and there's a Kudu/Nyala/bushbuck hunt being offered in RSA for this coming June/July. I was over there this past year, and know that this hunt is being offered for about the cost of the trophy fees.. I've got hunts lined up other places for this year, but would sure be interestd in this one, if I didn't. It's on page 2 of the offered hunts forum. I didn't see where anyone had looked at it, other than me, so wonder if folks know it's there.

One the subject of what makes a good PG round. I have used the 308 the last couple times over there, and a former professional hunter, who did a lot of cull work, said he shot between 3500 and 4,000 head of game a year, and used the 308 for 90% of it. I personally really like the 308 for PG, and would use either a 30/06 or my 280, if not using the 308. Just my though on it.

The 308 in 150gr and 30-06 in 180gr are both great rounds for this Safari.

You don't need anything bigger, placement is key
