Lets keep this forum a place of good positive feedback from experiences, a place where ideas and knowledge is shared. Let the bad experiences be told too, and let us learn something from them and move forward.
I couldn't agree more. I post on here and look around less and less. I suppose part of that is I haven't traveled for or needed to research for a hunt overseas in a couple years. The other part of it is all the pissing matches and negativity. I just don't have time for it or the interest to be a part of it. What a waste wading through 5 pages of posts on a thread to read the only 4 or 5 posts that were worth taking the time to read. Sometimes threads seem like a pissing match as to who has the most experience, street credit, hottest gossip, highest ethics, ect, ect and it gets a bit old. A bit of self control and an honest question of why am I asking this, for my purposes or for the benefit of everyone?, would go a long way.

It is very difficult to make Colonel in any branch of service, especially the Marines.
It is very difficult to take all of the Big Five, let alone more than one of each.
It is very difficult to host a long running TV show, let alone one about hunting Africa. We can all see what has happened to TAA since he was undercut there while recovering from the heart attack.
It just is not easy being Craig, with all of the pressures of his very full and complicated life.

Not really, since others and myself have other interests outside of hunting.
Spending all our time & efforts on hunting would deny one the time for the other equally enjoyable interests. It is very difficult to make Colonel in any branch of service, especially the Marines.
Sometimes internal politics has as much to do with advancement as does personal ability.
In any case his past military career has nothing to do with his hunting based business model.
and Im rather sure his rank-mil. service don't made any diff to the minds of the animals he hunts. It is very difficult to take all of the Big Five, let alone more than one of each.
Taking a primitive group of animals such as Big5 is not in my mind a grand pinnacle of achievement for an advanced human being.
If that is seen as a status symbol by some , then you need to get some perspective/do some maturing. It is very difficult to host a long running TV show, let alone one about hunting Africa.

A person makes their life as simple or as complicated as they choose.
People who want a genuine simple life will sacrifice fame and fortune to get it.
IF one chooses to put themselves in the fame-public limelight, they need to accept what comes with that territory.
Its apparent that the disillusioned idolisers of CB are the ones with a glass jaw, and not CB himself.
They are so sensitive, that they perceive anything that does fit in with their rigid idealistic precious image of CB,
somehow as an attack on CB.
