Guys

Recent threads here about African trophy taxidermy and rifles for Africa (and elsewhere) made me think these two links below might of interest to some of you.

The taxidermy DVD here: http://www.shakariconnection.c...ng-trophies-dvd.html was made by a friend of mine and is simply brilliant. I don't know how much he spent on making it but it must have been a bloody fortune because he even went up to Angola for the bongo sequence.

Any aspiring, new or not so new PH and any/all African hunter(s) who cares about his trophies and/or likes to visit the trophy shed with his PH should watch this. - I've been in the business for 30 years and even I learned a few things.

Anyone who wants to research firearms for Africa or elsewhere or is just a gun nut (like I am) will find this: http://www.shakariconnection.c...ultimedia-guide.html fascinating.

Another rifle DVD everyone keeps telling me is simply brilliant is the Boddington on Rifles one. I've got a copy coming to me but I have to wait until my buddies Jason Van Aarde and Tony Thomkinson have seen it before they'll send it to me...... and Rudi and Luan, you can borrow after but only after I've watched it a few times!!!! Wink ....... although maybe we could have a beer, braii and DVD athon sometime? beer

Oops, I forgot to say that one of the many things I learned from that taxidermy DVD that'll interest a lot of you Americans is that Govt import fees vary depending on the port of entry you use.

Just click the buy now icon just above the info form and then follow the instructions.

Then fill out the info form below the buy now icon.

Actually all you HAVE to do is use the buy now icon but the other form is a back up to make 200% sure we have ALL the details and can check the buy now icon works properly.

I'm a belt 'n braces sort of guy!! rotflmo

I reckon it'd be a tremendous help for any hunter whether amateur or professional my friend.

I have to say, when my buddy first told me about it, I was a little sceptical about how much of a market it would have....... but then I saw it and realised I couldn't have been more wrong.

No matter who you are whether amateur or professional hunter, if you have any interest in hunting and/or the quality if your finished trophies or even the cost of shipping them, this really does fall into the must watch catagory. tu2

And yes, I'll bring your copy with me! Wink
