Russ GouldDo we really have to quote prior posts, repeatedly and in their entirety ....
It makes for very tedious browsing when you have to wade through prior postings numerous times, including multiple responses to prior quotes, and sometimes just to get to a "+1" or an emoji ... can we exercise a bit of restraint?
And don't quote this in your response ... most thinking people know what you are responding to!!

Bwana338Russ, could not have said it better, looking at the same posting(s) and/or picture(s) 3 or 4 times.

Tim CarneyOnly worthwhile quote is in responding to a question or an issue in the thread so as to ensure exactly what you are addressing...

AnotherAZWriterI don't mind quoting unless there are pictures; it does get a bit tedious - probably why I haven't looked the .458 Win thread in a while.

eagle27Agree with the sentiment but long signature lines also clutter the landscape and can be a distraction. Just sayin.

SaeedAmazing!
Some seem to always find something to complain about!!
You guys need to take into account you are interacting with others from all over the world, from all walks of life.
So don’t expect everything to be to your liking.
Others might not like some of the things YOU do, but they are not complaining!

tomahawkerLol! From the first day I showed up here I noticed the endless quotes. It seems peculiarly evident here for some reason.

LHeym500I like to do the quote thing when I am responding to that specific text. That way, when someone reads my response without reading the whole thread or going back and finding what prompted my response the reader has all information right there.

I usually just delete if there are a build up of "quotes", just like I did here.

The correct answer is "sometimes." But, of course, I am only a thinking person when it suits me.
Otherwise, I just quote others.
