Apparently this is the active ingredient of Trimspa which made Anna Nicole lose 70 lbs. Has anyone tried this cactus while hunting with Bushmen?

It's not really a cactus but makes for an interesting house plant here. With out looking in one of my books, I believe it is in the milkweed family.

Ann: That's interesting. I always thought milkweed was poisonous.

I think I heard that it is indeed some sort of cactus. Apparently it only grows in the Kalahari, but then again it is just a question of time till the genes are manipulated so that it grows in the arctic. The Bushmen chew on it to reduse their hunger. Apparently it has got something in it which makes you feel full.
Ive tried my cactus in the garden and it worked as well!!!

As far as we were told by people in Namibia, the government there treats the San worse than the govt. in Botswana. Perhaps left over hostility from when the San were used by the South Africa army as trackers etc.? I'm sure some of the South Africans or Namibians here can fill us in or correct me.
I also got the impression that the Himba are held back by the Namibian govt.
