at least in the USA

After the Fathers Day activities decided to have a cold one. When I went to the cooler I found another suprise. Six ice cold bottles of Windhoek. My wife searched high and low for these. From what she said, these are the last 6 bottles in the country. May not be true but I like the story.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Nice one!

I enjoyed some of that fine beverage this weekend...something we take for granted over here I suppose.

We also now get the Windhoek draught here in a 440ml bottle...treat yourself next time you are over here!

I could be wrong, but I was told they are very Anti-gun. I was informed of this last May while in SA. Can anyone shed more light on this? Confused

My wife got me some Windhoek lager and some South African soda for me last Christmas. Best gift that I received but I'm sure that shipping was expensive.

I wonder what year their born on date is? But I suppose it's the thought that counts.

Larrys01, who the hell told you that crap? Must have been a Castle drinker.
NBL issued a licence to Diageo to market Windhoek Lager internationally and it just kicked off in the UK.

It was a PH I met in a Bar in Capetown. Why I asked here is I wasn't sure which Brand he spoke about? Might have been Castle. Now that I think about it, I cannot belive anyone in Africa would be anti-gun? beer

Not me. One is all I can handle.

I thought some of my single friends in Alaska might be looking to settle down if the right lady came along.
