Amen, brother! I have let three hunting seasons and two summers pretty much slip through my grasp because of work. Since 2000 I have put on about 25 lbs of "Molson muscle" (ie. beer belly for the non-Molson drinkers!) because of inactivity related to long hours in the office and doing very little physical activity. I turned 35 this year. These years are too valuable to let slip by. I have been thinking exactly what you have written above. I sincerely hope I can make some changes in 2005. Best of the season to you my friend, Canuck

I'm 52, and my physical conditioning is a priority. I used to be able to backpack in and bring elk out on my back, and I still can but it takes a little longer. This fall I am proud to say, that my son was the weaker link in our hunting because he could not handle the strenuous activity(he's 34 and is on his feet 10-12 hours a day).

Chris, I promise to be gental with you this year in Africa! I'll get the lounge chairs winched up to the high hide and a cooler filled with your choice of beverages. But you have to promise to wake me up before you shoot this year.
