A couple safaris ago, on my way home in Jo-berg, I purchased miniature three dimensional ceramic shoulder mounts of each of the big 5. They all had a magnet on the back.

This morning, the last of them suffered a fatal fall from the refrigerator door after a typical slam shut from my sons. For the record, it was the Cape Buffalo. That should settle the debate on which was the toughest of the big five. Smiler

Wondering if anyone might know where I can get replacements online. The originals were 3-4cm in length, width, and height and colored brown/bronze.

Thanks in advance,
Stuntpilot

That's why kids should not be allowed in the house.

Several of our stores here carry nice hard rubber figurines, similar to what you describe, and small enough to set around on shelves. I haven't seen them as magnets, tho.

I found them to be attractive, and the kids love them. Here are some of them - the 5 year old grand-daughter likes to use the lions to attack and eat the zebras. Smiler I think she will grow to be my hunting partner in the future.

Sounds like you need an absolutely justifiable excuse to go on another Safari. . . I have picked up some of them, from of all places, Bass Pro Shops. Right now, I have a cape buffalo and sable on the door of my main gun safe.

Blank, I saw those same figurines last week in a kid's toy store while shopping for a birthday present. It's part of a larger set or something. I actually thought about buying an elephant to put on my desk but forgot to do it.
