I just tried to get a room for the 2014 convention at the Omni Hotel (January 9-12) online and was advised there was no vacancy. Anybody have any pull with the Omni?

Omni was booked up a couple months ago. The Loft went up $50 while I was thinking about it. So, I went ahead and booked the Magnolia with the free breakfast included in the price.

SBT: The Omni, as mentioned, was booked months ago; however, there is a "waiting list" available with very few names on the list and some folks always cancel...if you really want to stay at the Omni, get on the waiting list and book a room elsewhere. If a room becomes available at the Omni you can always cancel the other booking. If you can't find the link on DSC's website, call Lynda Rexrode at the DSC office for assistance.

Thanks Karl, that is just the type of info I need, and I'm now on the list. Thanks again.

It's Sandy - not you.
