We all know that AR in general and AR African Big Game Hunting forum in particular is the most popular and successful site on the net for African hunters and wannabe African hunters..... but just to while away a slow afternoon, please tell me what other African hunting sites you all like to visit and while we're at it, what your favourite African hunting magazines are.

This'll be fun and thanks in advance.

To get the ball rolling, my favourite magazines are African Hunter, ASG and Magnum.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

No, I wasn't fishing...... I'm genuinly interested in who buys what and who visits what sites..... I actually wasn't aware the ASG had hit the shelves over there yet. In fact, I only found out yesterday it was on the shelves here when a couple of buddies called me about it.......but thank you for those kind words and I'm very glad you enjoyed the article! Smiler

My only complaint is that silly intro they put in front of it. They're not my words and I find it almost insulting for them to suggest I might give way to pressure from anyone. Ah well, you know what John Steinbeck said about editors and pissing in the soup! rotflmo

African Hunter and Sports Afield on a subscription basis...Hatari Times when I can find back issues and I should subscribe to it too. Various websites but AR has the best African info on the web.

Steve, what did you write for ASG?

Sites:
AR & BASA (of course)

Magazines:

Magnum
African Outfitter (Mauritz' love & knowledge of old world rifles and yesteryears hunters makes this special)
African Hunter (occasionally)
SA Game & Hunt
Big Bore Journal (this is a member magazine, but is top notch considering it's small circulation)
