When I got the mail yesterday, I had a card from Owain Lewis widow. This made me start thinking about those who have been hurt or killed in the last few years. Does anyone know the status of the following: 1- Punki 2- Wayne Clark's family 3- Anthony Howland 4- Stu Taylor 5- The client who shot his foot with his 500NE. I have heard his name but have forgotten. 6- The family of the guy from Vegas who died of cerebral malaria in Zim.

I heard the same. But, I am just as curious as Larry of what had happened to others and how they have progressed. Would be very interesting to know.

That fellow's name is Rance Spurlock. I talked to friends of the family a couple of times right after the death and they seemed to be coping fine. He owned a gun shop in Henderson (Vegas area),NV. Spurlock Gun Shop has been around since 1978. Not sure if it is still open or not now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. Perhaps I should have said that Owain Lewis widow moved to New Zealand. If I remember correctly, she has family there.

My wife and I were at Omujeve last May and Punki name came up. One of the PH's said Punki had recovered and was back at work near Omujeve. MauserK98

Very classy of Robbie to send out the thank you cards. Their son resides in PA and their daughter in New Zealand. Beau and I were scheduled to hunt Chewore South with Owain when the buff got to him just 2 months before our safari. It was one of the biggest shocks of my safari hunting experience. I wish Robbie and the kids calm seas and prevailing winds. I'll hunt with Owain later, in the back of the beyond.
