Hi all! I have a friend looking at possibly doing a work project in Gorongosa National Park. She was looking for information on the park. I figured I'd help her out a bit. She'd likely be going in June. What are the rainy months in this area of Mozambique? What's the weather like in June? What's the terrain like there? It's south of the Zambezi, but is it swampy like areas around the Zambezi? Is it Miombo woodland, grasslands, flood plains, something else, or a mixture? What animals should she expect to see? I'm guessing buffalo, elephant, and a variety of antelope large and small. Thanks for the info!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
