I'm looking for taxidermist recommendations in/around Jberg. I'm not sure if I'll be bringing anything home or not but want to check prices on work and shipping before I decide. IF I do bring anything home it will be euro mounts on shields and shipped into Baltimore. I left trophies in Botswanna due to shipping costs and haven't lost any sleep over them but would be remiss if I didn't at least do my homework before deciding. Thanks

I only intend on having euro mounts done if anything. I want to have an all in cost estimate before I make a decision. I would enjoy having the trophies at home as a reminder of the hunt but in the end it is a discretionary expense that will have to provide fair value.

African Wildlife Artistry did a great job for me. They mounted an excellent porcupine for me and the dip and pack was done right plus the price was not outrageous at all.

Life form did not send my trophies together, then wanted to charge me extra for separate shipping--never did get my flat skins,

Spirit of Africa. They're in Natal but were easy to work with, exchanged e-mail pictures of work progress, and got 6 mounts to us by late January after an August hunt. Economical as well. Nearly half the cost delivered of the work we had done in the US on our first trip.

Safari Taxidermy has handled all my trophies for the last 10 years. Service, communication and shipping has been top notch. They are located in Polokwane. If you contact them, ask for Riana.

Just curious , what did your outfitter have to say about this situation ?
