I use WW 458 brass for my taylor works will with RCBS dies. I found that IMR4064 gives me the same vel as RL15 with 3 grs less powder per load.

I'll scan some loads at work tomorrow and e-mail them to you. JCN

I see at Midway they have RCBS form dies for converting 458 WM to 416 Taylor. Is this what you are using or just the 416 Taylor dies to make cases?

I bought a Taylor advertised on AR. It's a FN action with a shilen fluted barrel and a Mel Smarts Accubond stock. May sound silly in Florida but it has become my pet rifle. Admittedly I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to reloading. Had about a 15 year hiatus. Started back with the Taylor. As was said, 458 brass-one swipe and you're ready to go. I have much more trouble with my .17. Please share some loads. I have a 24 inch barrel. My comfortable and effective pig round sends a 350 gn Speer at about 2360. I know it doesn't meet supposed Africa standards but it's fun. Doesn't slap like my 376 steyr. I pulled the scope for this year. I'm doing a scopeless season at home, but certainly it's not limited to a brush gun. It's a very utilitarian caliber. Jeff

Will, All you gotta have is the normal sizing die of the regular reloading die set. Easy resize. Using the necked down RP .458 WM brass or the QualCart .416 Taylor brass with F215 primer: 400 grain Hornady and 75 grains of RL-15 gets over 2400 fps in my 26" barrel. 300 grain varmint bullets with 72 grains of IMR 3031 gets 2700 fps.
