**** Effective January 26, all airline passengers to the United States aged two years and older must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel. Alternatively, travelers to the U.S. may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel. Check the CDC website for additional information and Frequently Asked Questions.
CDC will consider individual waivers of this requirement in exigent circumstances where emergency travel is required to preserve health and safety (e.g., emergency medical evacuations) and where pre-departure testing cannot be accessed or completed before travel.
Although requests for a waiver that meet all the criteria will be given due consideration, the CDC expects that waivers will be rare.
To apply for such waivers, travelers or travelers’ carriers can contact the U.S. Embassy in Harare, or call the Department of State headquarters: From the United States and Canada: 888-407-4747; from overseas: 202-501-4444.

If the traveler is entering from a country that is not part of the Trusted Travel Initiative, the traveler will upload their negative COVID-19 test result to org(account creation required). A Travel Code will then be generated for travel. Technical concerns may be directed to the dedicated support teams reachable via globalhaven@panabios.org.
Persons without a test result or displaying COVID-19 symptoms may be denied entry or detained until they can be tested for COVID-19.
If tested and found to be positive, travelers may be detained a government facility for 14 days.
Use of the Trusted Traveler Platform of approved labs is required for departure from Zimbabwe, even if your destination is not part of the platform. The Trusted Travel system will verify your results against the entry requirements for your destination.
