I am having Tip Burns convert the pre-64 Mdl 70 I hunted with for most of the last 40 years to 9,3 X 62, hope to use this for plains game including eland 2010. I have ordered some Privi Partisan ammo from Midway (rifle won't be complete till next year, but figure I had better order now, before the "chosen one" starts reorganizing the rules). Question is, has anyone used this ammo? It is cheap, but so long as it goes bang it will be great for practice, I am wondering if the brass is of good quality and can be safely reloaded? If so, may up my order to 200 rounds.

Thanks for your help;
John

I have shot about 50 rounds of PRVI ammmo in my CZ 9.3X62. It was accurate for factory ammo, no groups were larger than 1.5". The brass seems to be the same as the brass sold by Graf with their own head stamp.

This brass, with either head stamp, has been excellent. Accuracy with Hornady 286gr SP or Nosler 286gr partitions has averaged <1.0" with RL15. Longevity has been good: 14 loadings for one batch.

Graf's price is cheaper than Midways and they have a flat shipping fee of $4.50. The brass is about $34.00 per 100.

I have been using it for a couple of years and agree that it is both accurate and dependable. The bullets are fairly soft and open quickly so are not my choice for use on dangerous game but they should work well on most anything else.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

I bought a bunch of the 285gr Prvi bullets and the Graf's brass. The brass looks to be of excellent quality.

Another vote for Prvi 9,3x62 ammo - it has been accurate in my cz and the brass is quite good.
