gumboot, yes it is a Jefferies, but the original stock was trashed by a hyena, and so was the floorplate and I believe the peep sight was crushed beyond reprieve, so these have been replaced. I should have the peep sight fitted in time for the season. Very nice rifles! If I could impose, could you snap a couple of more pictures of the top two rifles rear sights. I am building a file of rifles I like, so I have pretty pictures to point to when trying to describe what I want to the gunsmith!!! Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps. | |||

500Nitro, I see your DG .500 is a Ruger No1? Would a double or bolt be better? I personally would not use a single shot but each to their own, have you ever needed a quick second shot with this rifle? you have some very nice rifles. steve 12x12/9.3x74R | |||

Karl, I'm curious about the availability of 9.3x64 ammo in Africa. I was given a 9.3x64; very cool rifle with very scarce ammo.
