I am attempting to help my son, who just won a 10-14 day safari to Limprovo province for plains game etc, in Aug, 2017.

We know nothing about SA hunting etc.
The rifles taken will be a Ruger 77, 7 Mag, Ruger 77, 257 Roberts and a TC handgun scoped, in 357 Max calibers, 14" bbl.

He hunts and uses them here in the US, every year, and is a reg guide for NV animals etc.

Can anyone who has solid info for this guide service provide some info etc.

Welcome to the forum and congrats to your son. He's gonna have a great time.

My observation on hunting in Limpopo is it's like South Texas on steroids! Brush country and senderos and everything has thorns. More animals than you can believe could possibly live on such unprosperous looking land.

His outfitter will have more specific information on what to bring, so don't stress it too much. You will get lots of great info on here, as well. Ask lots of questions. The planning and anticipation is one-third of the experience.
