http://www.nationalgeographic....g-ivory/article.html All I can say is the game rangers in Africa deserve our awe and appreciation. They are some of the bravest souls on the planet. Ill equipped, cash strapped and putting their lives on the line every day... they truly are the front lines in attempting to save the elephants in central and east Africa. On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch... Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! - Rudyard Kipling Life grows grim without senseless indulgence. | ||

I saw this on NatGeo TV. Interesting but probably just another footnote in the ongoing tragedy that is that part of the world. There is one bright spot in CAR - Erik Mararv and his Chinko Project www.chinkoproject.com. Erik is fighting an uphill battle to save a small part of the that world and it's wildlife and deserves our respect and support.
