I figure it is about time for a couple of lighter and more fun topics. So here is a secret for many of you out there. The greatest month for African Hunting is January !!!!!! It is the time between DSC and SCI (Reno or Vegas), when many of our PH friends and familys are thrown to the wind, waiting a month between the 'Big Shows', often with no place to land. We go out of the way to open our home.....make invitations.....and encourage many of the wonderful characters of Africa to bring some sunshine and excitement to our lives and our grown children and grandchildren's lives by visiting with us for any number of days. We will transport them, feed them, entertain them.....whatever. Man does it make winter pass faster. It is pure refreshment to our souls. IT IS THE BEST MONTH FOR AFRICAN HUNTING.....and the friendships formed and knowledge passed is --- how do they say it. PRICELESS ! Anybody else get this privilege besides us?

And I know for sure that these PHs absolutely appreciate the hospitality shown to them by you good folk. When they hit that marketing road, they may be gone from home for a couple of months and a few nights stay in your home is a wonderful respite from the monotony of hotel rooms and hotel food! "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A. Hunter describing the early explorers and settlers of East Africa hunting is not about the killing but about the chase of the hunt.... Ortega Y Gasset
