I will be going to Africa in May and in completing my preparations, I wondered what experiences members had with Americase vesus Kalispell and hoe you would compare them. Secondly, for the best protection, should the rifles be removed from their stocks when packing? Thanks for your assistance and time. Best, Bill

Your cases are going to get pretty beat up. The rifles might too. That is why a lot of folks here use the Tuffpack. Expensive but good at what it does. There is however at least one documented case of a double rifle suffering stock breakage in a Tuffpack. Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. On our trip to Africa last year, I put one rifle in the Americase and put another in a Tuffpack with my father's rifle. Both gun's arrived safely. My Americase is destroyed. I don't know how the rifle made it, but it did. The latch is destroyed and it is dented pretty severly. I bought a tuffpack of my own at Reno this year. You won't go wrong with the Tuffpack.

For pure protection of your firearms, I believe the Pelican is as good as it gets. Jim "Bwana Umfundi" NRA

I use a Kalispell and it has served me well. Two trips to Zim and quite a few others around North America.
