Warthog Tusk
Hello all,

Does anyone have a warthog tusk they would be willing to sell? My son (6) really has taken an interest in African hunting. He knows all of the Sponsors on Tracks across Africa and Tivo's alot of African hunting show.

I would like to "fan the flame" by giving him a Warthog tusk for Christmas.

Thanks for the help,

ddj

I have some around here somewhere.

It would be my pleasure to send one to you for your son if you'll send me a PM and let me know where to send it.

Thanks guys! This is the reason I love this site!

I looked on ebay but didn't see any and I don't really like to support them to much because of their antihunting stance.

When I was in Namibia I bought a Warthog tusk corkscrew and letter opener for my son. He was more impressed with those than anything else about my trip.

Thank you to the members here who answered my request. My son says that the warthog tusk and springbuck skull he recieved were his favorite presents. He is really interested in African hunting. He watches Hornady's Africa and Tracks across Africa weekly.

I want to thank all of the members here who have helped me in the past.

This is a great site!!!!

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Like everyone else the picture won my heart -even though I decided not to shoot a quite good warthog once. (My PH agreed with me that the warthog in question had "character". He trotted off and then stopped and gave me a look over his shoulder as much as to say:" What the hell are you looking at?". I decided not to shoot in that moment -and, yes, they are very impressive wall mounts. I'm happy for the little boy -but maybe when he grows up he may feel differently.
