Tim Viningtetse flies are God's worst invention. A swear they are a cross between a yellow jacket and misquito.
As my friend Dwight said.
"Anything in Africa can kill you! From a mosquito to an elephant. And everything in between"
You need to speak of the tsetse fly with more reverence and veneration. If not for them, the whole of the Zambezi Valley would be over-run with cattle.

lavacaI think Tsetses are God's greatest invention, personally, for the reasons mentioned.
I find them to be a minor annoyance, and Avon-Skin So Soft does keep a lot of them at bay. My hunting partner would yell and jump when bit, but showed no other reaction. I don't think they hurt that bad, but am allergic to them and get a quarter sized red welt at each bite.
By the end of a trip to the Valley, I look like a Wonder Bread sack from a hundred red blotches!!!
