I would like to think that John Taylor would be rolling over in his grave at the indignity of an African big game hunter having to mow his own lawn.

Yes, it is a powered mower, but not self-propelled, much less a riding mower. I am so embarrassed.

My sympathies to others in a similar plight.

Will

My sympathys Will, I understand your plight. Here in the wet season we mow our lawn every bloody week. If you miss it for a week its so long the kids get lost in it and can't find the house....fair dinkum [Wink]

Sympathetic? Me??? No!!! [Razz]

I certainly respect the do-it-your-selfer. It's a sign of fortitude. A sign of shrewdness...

I cut my own lawn and am in the process of cutting up a lotta mangled trees and wood right now on my own sweat. Sure I could pay someone else to do it but then THAT would cut into my safari funds! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Smile]

Don't forget Taylor lived out the last few years of his life cutting grass for the parks dept. in London.

No sympathy here for you dust bowl folks. I mow 3ac every 4 days during the rainy season. Very relaxing to putt around on the tractor and have a couple of cold ones.

With our drought the past year in Colorado, we are only allowed to water twice a month. Grass doesn't grow well here on that...No MOWING!

Welcome aboard the forums. Have fun.

I hope the drought breaks here this summer.
