You could possibly check with Steve Turner at Gracy Travel. We talk to them weekly and I know they have a link to the Dutch consent order on the website. Hope this helps. Gracy's number is

Shouldnt be any problems, if you have not got them 3 weeks before give them a call at the Dutch Customs, that would be my suggestion.

I'm leaving July 29 and STILL don't have mine! I applied in late MAY. I called two weeks ago to the number Gracy has posted on their web site and spoke with "someone" who looked up my name an address and found it in their computer system. I was told" if you don't have it 2 weeks out call back". I'm calling this week, it is a comfort to know they recieved the form and being told that they always issue the permits...but a small one. i'll rest easier once I have the fax back.

Mine was running late and I called the number in the Netherlands. I can't remember the mans name, but he was extremely helpful and faxed it immediately. I got his name and number off a post from last year on this same subject.

Typically they send back the completed forms around 10-14 days before your scheduled departure. Your mileage may vary.

Wanted to thank all for input. I now have my dutch consent form in hand. I now have one final question. I assume the airline will want to see this form when I check in at Detroit but will I need to go through an inspection process or will someone in the Netherlands want to see my form. I imagine some of you have gone through this. Appreciate any ideas for preparation.

Thanks,

Larry

Larry,

The answer is maybe on all counts. As long as you have the Dutch permit and all info matches your guns your fine. Just go with the flow. We have clients go all the way through without anyone asking for anything but sometimes everybody wants to look at the paperwork.

Mark's dead on with the maybe. All but a couple of my trips have been through Amsterdam. I have never been asked to show it the airport (Detroit is my gateway, too) and i have never been asked for it in Amsterdam. However, I know people who have been asked for it amsterdam. If you don't have it, you are screwed.

As a follow up to my earlier post on this thread. I am 15 days out today and have just gotten my permit faxed to the office yesterday. I called the number listed here and on Gracy's site and was helped by a gentleman that said the form had been faxed on June 19 to a number I never gave them. Their error and he admitted it then refaxed to the proper number.
I would suggest to anyone on short time without the permit to make the call.
