| Beautiful! Bet your PH tries to talk you out of it. |

| That is a fine piece of work. Congratulations.
The truth is though, you won't have much use for it. The trackers do all the field dressing, and incidentally, most of them use cheap folding knives. My PH Jannie Spangenberg used a knock-off Swiss Army knife. I never got a chance to pull my sheath knife. |

| Beautiful! Leave it at home. You will have more need for your Swiss Army with a corkscrew and bottle opener and your Leatherman Tool than you will for your beautiful labor of love! Most likely you will use it more in the USA than you ever would in Africa. Wish it were mine. |

| Very Nice! I agree you wont need it. However, that is what you made it for take it and enjoy it. What is the sense of having nice toys if you dont take them out and play with them. |

| I agree that you should take it and enjoy it! Even though what the others say is true, you really won't have much need for it, (other than cutting pieces of biltong to snack on). I would try it out anyway. Then bring it back home and give it to me!! |

| Beautiful. I like your blade shape and size. Just right to do anything you need from a knife yet not so big as to be bulky. Excellent work. |

| I figured I might as well add my knife that I had made. The blade is D2 with a Rc hardness of 60. The handle came from an elk I shot in 2000. That particular hunt had a lot of special meaning for me and what better way to remember it than making a piece of it into my carry knife. The blade design was my pattern that I came up with from picking features I liked from kknives I have owned in the past. I am going to have an all leather sheath made to compliment it better than the Kydex I wear for work. It is also the knife I plan on carrying with me on my first safari in a few years. |

I'm not normally impressed with knives; to me they are a tool. I buy quality, but not fancy. However your knife is beautiful!
Do you do this for a hobby, job, or both? |

| You never know about when your knife will be useful and necessary on safari. We were hunting the Kilombero last year and were on our last buffalo (#4). We had walked through several deep gullies that kept us from getting a vehicle to the last buffalo and recover meat. We had to remove a ham and head. As the trackers tried to cut through thick neck hide they began complaining about not having the skinning knives sharp enough. The skinning knives had cut through tough hide covered with sand and mud and were getting quite dull. I offered my Marbles knife. It was razor sharp. It slid through meat, hide, and gristle. Right away we had a ham and head free for the carry to the vehicle. I will keep that knife as a rememberance of that place and time. D |

| That is a gorgeous knife! If you were willing to part with it, I bet your PH would be ecstatic to take it off your hands. Gives them a nice memory of the hunt, as well. My Dad made one for when he went bear hunting up north, also made from Elk, gave it to his guide. Had the hunt dates engraved on it. I thought it was a classy gesture. I'm sure anyone in their rigth mind would love to own that! |
