Christ, I hope it doesn't kill all of them! Baboon shooting is one of my favorite African adventures! I'm taking my 22-250 next year with about $1k for Baboons. I love shooting those pointy headed little bastards! Just set up on the railroad tracks next to the sugar cane feilds, and let the good times roll!!

" The genitals kind of rot away, then they just drop off"
This is just too gentle of an end for a bobo. I kill every one of them I can while hunting. Rather that wasting valuable rifle ammo, I carry a .44 S&W Mag as my monkey control weapon. Nothing like a 240gr Hornady XTP to the gourd.
I hate dem bobos

We were hunting Kudu in the Northern part of SA and every time we about got set up on this trophy Kudu this big male baboon would give the alarm call and scare him. Finally after 5 miles of walking and half dozen blown stalks because of his alarm calls, I sent him to baboon heaven. I can't say that I would grieve if they were wiped out after seeing what they did to the ranchers goats.
If you wiped out the baboons, then Africa would never be the same, or any other species for that matter...They are about the craftiest critter in Africa and I have a great respect for them, love to hunt them, and they will on ocassion fight you.....I know they can be a challange to hunt.
