Is anybody hunting Zimbabwe any time soon that uses a 458 Lott that could buy an extra box of ammo and bring it out. I can organise payment prior to your PH and to collect from him or make another plan. A long shot i know!

1. Isn't that illegal? 2. If Lott ammo isn't available locally, that's one more reason to stick with the .458 Winchester. Indy Life is short. Hunt hard.

Nothing illegal about it if the hunters is bringing ammo for his own rifle, just a box more. I think there might be questions if the visiting hunter is bringing in ammo for a rifle he does not have.

Buy it while you're here at DSC or SCI.

Seems like it could be mail ordered through an international freight company.

Sorry to say, but Zimbabwe is on the USA embargo list for permanent export of defense articles, which, believe it or not, includes sporting ammunition. It is a crime for US citizens to ship or otherwise permanently export ammunition to Zimbabwe. There is an exception that applies to export by hunters for their own and exclusive use while hunting. My suspicion, however , is that much is left behind by US hunters for future use by their professional hunters, even though it is illegal to do so, and that, by and large, no one is ever the wiser. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
