We go out 8/11.I am in for 17 days in Namibia with Antonie Louw at Makalaan safaris.Plan to take a couple days and go up to the Okavango and do some fishing for the tigers.

Can anyone suggest what kind of tackle and bait I will need? How bout fly fishing?

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

Maine Woods,

Enjoy! But if he's still got that bloody ostrich in his yard, keep an eye on it - its a sneaky bugger.

eyedoc,

For your tiger fishing the guide will probably cut up bait fish to stick on a large hook and you'll troll. I bet spoons like a big Red Devil for Northerns will also do the trick.

I will try them next time myself.

Have a Wonderful time! Enjoy every thing ... sights, sounds, the hunting, foods, and the sundowners.

Keep a diary! That and the pics will bring back a flood of memories in the future. Grand memories to be sure.

(19 days to my second trip.)
