Thanks. I thought that was the name but I have not seen it lately on our cable system.

lavacaCraig is a class act. He's gone above and beyond to give me advice on new areas -- to me -- not to him.

Rich, you "trust CB with your back" based only on conversations and impressions that you have with him?? Damm....you're a pretty trusting guy!
Let me ask you this: would you trust him enough to invest your life savings with his company, after everything you heard here??
I know that I damm well wouldn't.

This is the sort of silly, unacceptable, thing to say to another person.
Disagree by all means, but one does not have to stoop so low.

Hoot MurrayThank You Saeed. We are very fortunate to be able to speak on this site without being censored. However, with any freedom, you are expected, and it is your responsibility to censor yourself. I think that the "Gold Standard" here is would you say to a person's face what you will say here hiding behind your handle and a half a world's distance away? Words mean something and the words you use speak volumes as to your character.
Gracias,
Hoot

35whelenmanWith apologies to all, I have to admit that these exchanges are half the reason I follow AR. It's like having all the entertainment of the worst reality TV shows without having to read tabloids or watch E-TV.
Plus if I need it, I can usually get some good suggestions, ideas and advice.
I'm just sad to see my home state of PA being so poorly represented.

boarkillerHe was a speaking guest at our local SCI dinner last year, I have also spoken to him in the past and he has always been very personable , friendly guy that always had time to talk in comparison to some other hunting show hosts.
He definitely had positive influence on me when it comes to Africa especially
I like him and that's that

It is human nature, trying to influence everyone to your own way of thinking.
People scream their heads off about "freedom of speech".
But the only freedoms they want is their own. If you do not agree with them, you should not have any freedom of speech.

KMG Hunting SafarisWell, to answer the OP, he attended the Southeast Outdoor Expo in Raleigh, NC these past few days. Hung around the SCI booth opposite us, and gave a talk.
Got to talk to him a little at his booth and ours, and he left a good impression.

shouldermanI met him for the first time at the Southeast Outdoor Expo in Raleigh, this weekend. my son who is 13 struck up a conversation with him while I was talking to Marius. My son had no idea who he was. Mr. Boddington was fantastic with him. He gave me some good info on an upcoming brown bear hunt I am doing. Later, my son decided for his upcoming birthday he wanted one of his books. We went back and bought it. He made big deal to my son when he signed it and had someone take of pic of the two of them together for Craig's facebook page. I don't know anything about his personal financial dealings and I have only had 1 personal experience with him. All I know is he made a 13 year olds' month.

That is great!
I tried to introduce my sons to a hunting celebrity at an outdoor sports show when they were young & he ignored us.
Pretty petty on his part.
I have always found CB to be very cordial and his wife Donna is as well.

I believe CB is a celebrity hunter- magazine writer, and not currently offering widranging services of backing people up in any confrontation.

Jerry HooverMy curiosity has gotten the better of me and I tried to research what has happened. Neither beings a computer expert or a lawyer, I am sure I missed many details and legal nuances. Frankly as I read the internet documents, all of this happened several months ago. My questions are why did this take so long to surface? If a negotiated settlement has not been reached, this forum is not the place to cast aspersions on anyone's character or honesty. Sorry for the rant, but this whole situation reminds of the Spanish Inquisition. You are guilty until proven innocent. I do not consider Cot. Boddington a friend, although in my few encounters, he has nothing but a congenial and forthright man. If some of you lost money, then consider it to be a bad business decision and use it as tax right off if legal and go on with life. May we all live long and prosper, Respectfully, Jerry Hoover

SquirrelNutThis thread is, for the most part, pretty disgusting.
There is an old saying that goes something like, "there but for the grace of God go I". None of you know what led to CB's financial troubles and frankly it is none of your concern, you're like a bunch of old hens gossiping. The past few years have been tough ones, be thankful if you haven't been affected and the way things have been for quite some time no one is in a position to judge. It is sad how many people take pleasure in the misfortunes of others.

I did not start this thread.
I see your convoluted sense of judgment is in full swing!
04 February 2015, 17:44
Die Ou JagterWait a minute on the 14th post of this thread YOU brought up the bankruptcy. There had been NO mention of finances re CB prior to your mention. You did not start this thread and I never said you started the thread just brought the bankruptcy into the thread plain and simple. Can I make it much more simple!
04 February 2015, 18:56
SaeedSo did he declare bankrupt or not?
Did that declaration affect others or not?
04 February 2015, 19:50
Die Ou JagterFellow posters interested in this crap just go back and reread this thread. You can form your own opinion regarding the bankruptcy question. Some people will not answer questions other than asking another question.

It ain't going to happen here.

larryshoresI can understand the line of thinking that CB's financial woes are no ones business but his. On the other hand, bankruptcy filings are public records open to search by anyone. Which one is right?

I recall Boddington himself once starting a thread of the details of an 'alleged' Illegal Banteng hunt that he was on,
and the subject was somehow swung-around by some AR member(s) toward the subject of his Bankruptcy.
Such thing is pretty much unavoidable on an open forum.
When you choose a celebrity life, you can expect that people will then follow, examine & scrutinise every part of
your private, public and business life....and if ones Bankruptcy is public record, why then are some people so surprised?

Ed,
We know you like to hero worship.
Your blind worship of SCI has become legend here.
Some of us here don't follow that line of thinking - especially those you so kindly call my "minions".
If someone does not wish to have any of his actions discussed, he should keep it private.
What has has happened to Craig is in the public domain.
And it might be good for you to read the whole lot before you can make a decision.
05 February 2015, 08:07
txlonghornI guess the lesson here is that if you want your life to be private, don't become a celebrity and definitely don't file for bankruptcy protection.

. . . or go through multiple divorces, be implicated in an illegal frocking, associate with failed business ventures like California Rigby, alienate business associates that produce and commercially underwrite your television show . . .
Make no mistake CB is a great author and speaker, but those that are pushing him for sainthood are being a bit myopic in my view.
