I'm gonna be in Denver all week and was wondering if there were any good "safari" goods shops to visit? Any good gunshops?

I always liked the Firing Line Gun shop in Aurora. It always has some high end rifles and shotguns.

As far as a safari, not sure about an African displays, but I would do an American safari. I would go on a hike of Waterton Canyon. I would almost guarentee you would see Bighorns this time of the year in the Canyon as well as deer and maybe elk. Pm if you have questions.

Not much in the way of Safari shops around Denver -- town is getting to populated with granolas and hankie heads ---- you may want to visit Bass Pro and look at their Fine Gun Room -- occasionally they have a few items that interest us --- the also have a few African mounts there. You can also travel over to Cabela's at Sidney for another Box Store visit.
If you get totally bored drop me a pm and maybe we can do lunch --- Buckhorn comes to mind for lunch --- old old stuff in there to discuss.
Hope you have fun in the Mile High home of the Dismal Donkies (Broncos)

OMG!-- my bow is "pull-push feed" - how dreadfully embarrasing!!!!!

I think Water Canyon is still closed, thru the end of the year.

Make sure you eat at the Buckhorn Exchange while you're in town. THe first liquor license ever issued in the state was to the Buckhorn. It is considered a living museum.

+1 for the Fireing Line. The owner Len Guldman is a very experienced African hand and a hell of a nice guy to boot. If you visit, please give him my regards.

M W Reynolds.

more of a shotgun shop than rifles, but some very nice double rifles and africa rifles and some very nice fly fishing gear.
The only shop in town. (unless you want to pay 10k more at bass pro shops)

Knowledgeable, personable, nice people.

fair prices.
