I got issue # 5 on Monday and then issue # 6 on Tuesday. Will I get issue # 7 when I get home tonight? Is this happening to everyone or am I just special?

I got my # 6 Tuesday of this week, and got my #5 some time back, don't remember the exact date. I was just thinking about posting on here and complementing them on the timely arrivals. I have received two issues since subscribing at DSC in January. I would think it must be a fluke that you got them so close together, and your #5 was just late. I have read about half of the one I got yesterday, and it has some good ele hunting in it. If others have the same problem, feel free to correct me. At this point, I plan to renew next year.

BigBoreCore- I think you may be onto something with the being "just special" thing. Wink Like RBHunt, I received #5 a few weeks back and #6 on Tuesday. I speculate that there is a postal conspiracy at work here. I do look forward to new issues it is a good magazine.

How about the AR add on the inside of the back cover.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Well, that happened to me one time before, and I told them about it. They assured me the problem was taken care of, so I gave them another try. So far, so good. Time will tell. Smiler

I noted the date on your post. Must be an April Fools joke.

Good day all:
Don't be too hard on the African Hunter. The fact they can produce a quality magazine IN today's Zimbabwe is amazing. Imagine working at your computer and the power is shut off! Happens every day all over the country as the leader sells power to South Africa. Other difficulties such as getting supplies, ink, etc., add to the problems. The AH is the only African journal that has not sold itself to the advertising dollar and offers information that is not tainted by political correctness or the fear of angering advertisers (Read the ASG and see what I mean). Many times computers fail in Zim and folks have contacted me about the lack of communication and I have (and will) forward your concerns to Ant Williams or Ira and they will sort it all out--they are good guys. In January come to the Dallas or Safari Club conventions and say "Hello." I should be there with the AH with my .600 or 4-bore again and it is always nice to meet new folds and chat a bit.
Cheers,
Cal

I wish Harold Wolf's "Hatari Times" was still published on a regular basis. I really loved that magazine.

Cal,

No April Fool's joke and I thoroughly enjoy reading my African Hunter Magazine. I will keep buying it as long as it is printed and delivered no matter how late it is.

Cheers,

Mike Core

I'm willing to give a subscription a try. After googling, I'm still not able to find an active subscription link though. Confused

Gents:
Opus72: Email me and I will forward your message to the AH.

RB: I, took wish Hatari Times was out on a regular basis but Harald Wolf is a busy man and put out the magazine when he has time. He was honest with his clients to let them know that.

I'm lucky to have every issue of HT and the AH. I also had all of the African Sporting Gazette but dropped them a year ago due to the commercialism.

Good reading, all.
Cal

We have been subscribers for several years and even with the surrealistic mail deliveries to the islands, manage to get all 6 issues every year. I beleive that you can email Jacqui at fishunt@zol.co.zw and she will be happy to take subscription info.
