I realize this question may be a bit early but it will undoubtedly take some time to resolve. I am wondering what USF&W will require to make a positive import decision on sport hunted Elephant from Botswana. And keep in mind that Bots has more wild Elephant than any country in Africa.

I do hope that all concerned parties, SCI, NRA, DSC, John Jackson, et.al. will rally quickly to the aid of Bots for a positive and speedy conclusion.

I'm pretty sure the hold up won't be with USFWS, lots of permit applications for sport hunted elephant ivory from other countries have been reviewed but, even if the permit was approved, no permits have been issued.

Botswana elephants are going to be the hottest ticket in town. I have been there and personally seen all the big ivory.
