here's part of a note I got from Jumbo Moore. He's started with a new area on mozm. & brought some of his people from zim with him. For all those who have been in africa - You can picture this.

One of the funniest things about operating here in Mozambique is listening to my trackers and Terence the cook talk about the Mozambiquicans. I have at times walked into the kitchen and Terence is just standing there shaking his head, and when I asked him what is wrong his reply is “THESE PEOPLE!!!†OR “THIS PLACE!!!!â€. I have to tell you this story because I nearly killed myself laughing when Samson and Able told me.

You have to visualize this now…………. These Mozambiquans do not bath too often and their version of a bath is wake up in the morning squat over a pot of water and wash the genital area. Now vision the Zimbabwean tradition of how they cook their Sadza (ground corn) at night and when they finish eating they fill the pot with water and leave it overnight to make the sadza which is stuck to the side of the pot soft. YES YES YES You can visualise it already. Abel and Samson wake up in the morning to find 30 Mozambiquicans taking turns washing their genitals over their cooking pot!!!!!!! The funniest thing was when I had A & S came complaining to me of what had just gone down AND I said to them, “but what is wrong, I watch them do it every morning!!!!!†I shouldn’t have said it because it took me nearly 2 hrs to calm the 2 of them down. There they were 2 of them against 30 and they were prepared to fight!!

I am sure that there are MANY things that none of us would care to understand or know about in regards to cooking, washing, eating, meal preparation, etc. Be it Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Tanzania,. . . .
