It seemed like every time you turned around there were fellow AccurateReloading.com members. It was great to be able to put faces with nicks! Here are the founding members of the Double Rifle Shooters Society with George Caswell at the Champlin Firearms booth My ownself, George, 400 Nitro Express(Mark), NE450#2(Tony), PWN375(Perry), Dugaboy1(Mac) My apologies to CFA who was kinda cropped by the photographer. He had just purchased a beautiful H&H Dominion 500/465 from George. We of course all volunteered to take the rifle to Africa for him, to make sure it worked properly! What are friends for?! George had the two barrel set Westley Richards at the show. Man what a beautiful rifle! Lots of doubles at the show besides what George had on his tables. What we thought was the find of the show was over in the Bass Pro Shops fine gun room. A beautiful little Webley & Scott in 280 Ross. We stopped by the FAMARS booth and ran into African Hunter and his wife. He was buying a bunch of Kynoch .577 and I bought a packet of Kynoch .404. They had a beautiful Abbiatico & Salvinelli boxlock rifle with an extended tang. The salesman said that all of their boxlock rifles come with extended tangs. Down at the Cabelas' booth we ran into Ray and JudgeG again. I got to handle a Paso Robles Rigby 470. Also got to visit with the great folks in theLong Grass Outfitters booth. They sell a great line of clothing and are wonderful folks to deal with! They are selling a hat that says it all for me! I understand they will be at the Houston show this coming weekend. So will I! And on Saturday night the AR bunch gathered in the Judge's chambers for refreshment and fellowship, although it appears the Judge was possibly still feeling the effects of the night before. And Tony told a facinating story about a woman he shot, who was shooting at him and he ended up marrying her a month later!! Of course there's no drinking and driving, so off in a limo for dinner. And the steaks and fellowship at the Trail Dust was super. Prayer, planning, preperation, perseverence, proper procedure, and positive attitude, positively prevents poor performance.

Frank-Rusty-Judge G-1115 ----- Any of you AR NUTS there the second night, please tell me the name of the steak house where we ate. I cannot remember the name of the place but I was trying to tell some buddies about the porterhouse steaks and the beans and could not for the life of me recall. For those of you not there the ties on the wall represent ties taken from patrons who enter and as punishment for the "too formal attire", have their tie cut off and then put on display. Good shooting. phurley

That was a fantastic weekend! The show was great and it was a good to get to visit with other members of the DRSS and meet so many fellow members of this forum. Saturday night was a hoot with all that showed up. Dinner was good and the stories and jokes before and after were certainly worth the drive down from Tulsa. Tony is the only man I know that shot his wife...before he married her. To any of you who couldn't make the trip this year, please schedule it for next year. It will certainly rank as one of the best weekends you have ever spent not hunting. I must think Saeed for bringing all of us together and making the meetings in Dallas possible and thank Judge for his hospitality Saturday night. He showed what old Marine fighter pilots are made of by enduring the evening in his damaged state. Rusty, Mac, Ray, Tony, Mims and other native sons of the Lone Star State I met, you fellows almost make me wish I was a Texan. Perry

Pat, The steakhouse was the "Traildust". They have a couple in the Dallas area, and also Denver. I don't know about anywhere else. We had a great time there, that's for sure.
