That's a blue wildebeest without ANY doubt.

It's a Blue Wildebeest -- but who's counting? When you get bored with life, start hunting dangerous game with a handgun.

In places where the colors are not that dramatically different, just note that the Black's horns sweep forward, Blue's to the side. Hey Frank M...everybody was right...you're NOT that good looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just haven't met whoever said that yet. Mayber it was the lighting. Try this one. Remember, I am the one on the right this time.

Definitely BLUE! "....but to protest against all hunting of game is a sign of softness of head, not of soundness of heart." Theodore Roosevelt

Frank, you're the one on the right? Is the right in front or in back? We can't tell! Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money." - Robert Ruark, Horn of the Hunter, 1953 NRA Life, SAF Life, CRPA Life, DRSS lite

The horns are from a Blue, the tail is from a Blue, the face is a Blue and the body is a Blue (too large). Must be a Blue.

I tried to PM the guy and tell him it was a Blue. He said all his paperwork says it is a Black......the PH said it was a Black.......so it was a Black. Sent him a few links...... Weird that his paperwork was wrong. I wonder if the Black was more expensive????

That was my though as well. As a general rule the Black Wille is more expencive that the common Blue Gnu. I think the guy got taken! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

I guess if it hadn't turned up in the consignment the agent would have had to try to cheer him up by telling him, no gnus is good gnus!

It may have also been a matter of quota. Perhaps the blue were used up and he only had quota for the black. Frank
